Re: [Networker] SANSurfer and Networker

We recently went through a QLogic upgrade and found that we had to manually
disable the "portmap" service after installation of SANSurfer to make
everything work proper. We are on W2K3 Networker v7.1.3.

We are planning to move to 7.3 in March and use SanSurfer on two of our
hosts.
What is the status of this problem?
Do you have any more information about what does or does not happen in
this situation?

I also noticed some anomalies when NetWorker and SANsurfer were on the
same system. I noticed this during NetWorker V7.3 beta testing, and had
a Legato support case opened.

Has anybody had trouble with the portmapper on Qlogic's SANSurfer?
Once I installed Sansurfer Networker wouldn't start. I remember
something about portmapper on MS SFU and maybe SANsurfer being a
problem.
Removing SANsurfer put everything back.
