In regard to: [Networker] Backup Level problems on Novell servers, Tim...:

When we do a full backup of our Novell servers it should clear the archive
bit on all files, so on the next backup of a lower level (level 2), only
the files that have been marked as changed will be backed up. Our problem
is the archive bit isnâ??t being cleared on all files only some. When we do
our first level 2 backup after a full backup, it is much larger than it
should be.

We've been having the exact same problem for several months.  For us,
the next backup after a full is an incremental, but for our NetWare boxes
it ends up being anywhere from a half to two-thirds the size of
the previous day's full.  After that incremental, it drops down to being
the size we expect.

Unfortunately, we're not certain when it started, though I might be able
to figure it out looking at savegrp reports I've archived.  It hasn't
always been this way, though.  Fulls followed by incrementals worked as
expected for years under older versions of the client and NetWare OS.
