I've noticed that upon startup, Networker sometimes changes the CDI
attribute to "Not used" on devices that are NOT NDMP devices. For
instance, it might look like this:
Jun 13 10:17:49 britt root: [ID 702911 daemon.notice] NetWorker media:
(notice) The CDI attribute for NDMP device "/dev/rmt/0cbn" has been
changed to "Not used"
/dev/rmt/0cbn failed to establish connection to NDMP server
After examining the drive, the NDMP status of the drive is "No", as it
should be.
This creates some problems when drives should report that they need to be
cleaned, but networker won't pick that up, since the CDI attribute is set
to not used, and drives will thus need to wait for cleaning until the
clean time expires.
As usual, has anyone seen this? ANy fix available?
Env: NW 7.1.3, solaris 9, SAIT-1 drives in Spectra T950 library.
