Re: [Networker] How to copy the savesets from a tape to a different tape?
2004-12-16 07:51:45
Hello,
I've tried the 'nsrstage' command successfully with one saveset of the bad
tape (I've used the GUI to see an SSID of the saveset and execute the
command with this number).
C:\>nsrstage -m -v -b "Normal Pool" -S 767438583
Obtaining media database information on server legato_server
Parsing save set id(s)
Migrating the following save sets (ids):
767438583
Automatically copying save sets(s) to other volume(s)
Starting migration operation...
nsrstage: Successfully cloned only the complete savesets
nsrstage: Clones were written to the following volume(s):
LNR128
Deleting save set 767438583 clone 1103127124 from the media data
base.
nsrstage: Space can only be recovered from adv_file and file type
devices.
After this, I've used 'mminfo' to obtain all the savesets in the bad tape
with this command:
C:\>mminfo -v -q"volume=LCL103" -r"ssid" > savesets.txt
And executed 'nsrstage' using this file as input for SSID numbers:
C:\>nsrstage -m -v -b "Normal Pool" -f savesets.txt -S
Obtaining media database information on server legato_server
Parsing save set id(s)
Migrating the following save sets (ids):
3703451985
3737006378
1690184883
62795685
[...]
2143169544
2344496109
2092837927
Automatically copying save sets(s) to other volume(s)
Starting migration operation...
nsrstage: error, cannot clone an incomplete original
nsrstage: Cannot open nsrstage session with legato_server
nsrstage: Failed to clone any save sets
But I've got an error with incomplete savesets. So the question is: how can
I get a list of ONLY complete savesets in the bad tape to use it as input
for nsrstage command?
Thank you!
