I just upgraded to 7.1.2 a few days ago (on solaris 9) - so far everything
seems fine although I've had a couple of RPC/timeout things with my bigger
windows clients. That's probably a coincidence; if I back them up in the
daytime when the networker servers are quiet they work fine - I run a
ridiculous number of clients in parallel on a small server. And the
servers are new, the jukeboxes are new - there are a lot of factors.

I had to go with 7.1.2 because I got sdlt 600 drives and the compression
wasn't kicking in with 7.1.

I'm going to be upgrading from Networker 6.2 to some version of
Networker 7 in the next few days, and the big question that looms on me
currently is should I go full on for 7.1.2 or should I scale back and
run 7.1 or 7.1.1? My server platform is Windows 2000 Adv Server and a
Linux Storage Node.

I'd be interested in people's thoughts on this and any experiences had
or not had.

Thanks,
Paul C.
