Hi,

My customer wants to define a group to take backups on Monday & Thursday
only and that too full backups.

I have configured a schedule wherein Monday & Thursday are marked full and
others are marked SKIP. Even on the skip level, it picks up the tape and
writes a bootstrap report onto the tape. My concerns are -

1. If it writes bootstrap daily, when would the tape get recycled even if
the retention period for the save sets is kept for 2 days.

2. Is there any other more effective way to configure this. Actually the
customer wants saparate groups for Mon-Thu, Tue-Fri, Wed-Sat and then
Sunday. With this configuration, all the four groups start & three of them
settle down only with bootstrap. This seems a big exercise especially when
you have six such sets of groups with Oracle hot backups configured.

Could anyone help me with this?

Regards,
Anuj
