I just want to keep the backup server protected.  I'm not interested in
scanning the data stream coming to tape.

In the past 5 months since my company has moved in with our parent
company, we have had runs on NACHI, AGOBOT, and a couple of others.

We have anti-virus software on our Networker Server and didn't see a big
difference in performance.  Are you trying to scan the stream before it

With all the virus threats and the fact that viruses keep getting into
the network here since we don't have a "don't bring your own laptop"
policy here.

work to prevent virus infection.

Please don't reply with "Switch to Unix/Linux" as an answer.  As I'm
typing this out, that's the first thing that popped into my head.  I
just can't do it.  You're preaching to the choir when you say that.
