Hi James
Microsoft Access is a low end database, and does not (to my knowledge) come
with the ability to be quiesced/paused like enterprise-class databases. So,
it is just another open file to NetWorker. If you want to back up an open
file, there are several ways to do this:
o you could take a snapshot of the volume/LUN, and back up from that volume;
o you could use a utility like St. Bernard Software's Open File Manager
(http://www.stbernard.com/products/ofm/products_ofm.asp); Legato has (still
does??) promote the use of this.

Subject: [Networker] Microsoft Access Database
Will Networker back up an open MS Access database? Or does it need a
special command or module?
Thanks
James
