Good Day,

I agree it is not possible to "Take Out" one saveset from many on a tape,
(nor can I imagine why you'd want to ;-)
Davina's idea with cloning the tape/or savesets is good, however cloning has
implications for the media database, as references to both the origninal and
the clones of the savesets will exist.

It may be simpler to stage the desired savesets from the original volume to
another. Staging simply moves the saveset, leaving a single reference in the
database to the single instance of the saveset on the new volume. See
NSRSTAGE manpage

You can then use the Legato ERASE "bus/taget/lun" command to wipe the
original tape.
Cheers
John
