Well, that depends

Its a louzy start but really it depends.

We do a lot of thesting at Compuware but test machines are basically  never in
the backup.  Test machines in our case are used to test a product and after
that a fresh install is done to have a clean machine again. We create a image
with e.g. ghost so it loads fast.
We do however have a large image server and that is in the backup.

So it depends on how the strategy of your testlab is,
