Hi,
yes, under version 6.x it isn't any longer a problem, to move or copy an
index with OS-tools. But you should be aware to do this only on/between the
same plattform type (the "little endian" and "big endian"-thing).
regards
Klaus

Betreff: [Networker] Index move?
To all,
NT NW environment, version 6.0.2
I have a few clients which were backed up by backup server 1, but are now
clients of backup server 2.
I therefore still have the nsr\index entries for these clients on backup
server 1, however these are not active clients.
I need to free some space on backup server 1 and was wondering, if I can
move these nsr\index entries on backup server 1, to another location not on
server 1.
If these were ever needed for a restore...not likely but it could happen,
if these could then be copied back to server 1 and used?
Thanks for any help.
Lynsey
