If your savepnpc works, saving of wins.mdb shouldn't be a problem. Did you
check, if there is "auomatic dump" configured by wins administration? In
this case you can import the dump-files to your wins database.

Sorry I forgot to say that I use savepnpc.exe with a "net stop wins"
command. It was functioning without a problem for years. Now I cannot say it
for sure: I'm mailed an incomplete log with the message "* emma:C:\ savegrp:
suppressed 15 lines of output"
