Hi

As far as i know there is no interface in networker, which is able to backup
(or recover) a runing WINS database, except "open file manager". You have to
configure "automatic dumps" for WINS database at your WINS adminstatration.
These dumps can be saved by networker on a normal file-backup. If you
recover this dumps, WINS administration can import them back to the
database.

Betreff: [Networker] URGENT cannot recover wins.mdb

We've lost our WINS.MDB file on our NT 4 server. I'm unable to find any
version of it (half year browse and retention), although I'm saving C:\\
everyday incr, monthly full.

I've searched with: networker user, recover -s <server>, nsrinfo <client> |
grep -i wins.mdb. Some directories included in C:\winnt\system32\wins
do appear, and with their contents, but there are no files in
C:\winnt\system32\wins. What is happening? I've also checked local
directives and
they are untouched.

Client version: 6.1.Build.186
Server version: 6.1.2.Build.340 on Solaris 2.6.

Thanks in advance (Once again I'm unable to search the list's archives).
