Good day list. I have run Legato on a UNIX server backing up the standard
mix for years. We are changing backups at all remote sites from Arcserve
and Veritas to Legato. What is the conventional wisdom on version of Legato
that is stable, robust and offers hours of uninterrupted sleep? In backup
terms, I'm not always a fan of latest and greatest.

I'm running 6.1.1 on my Solaris server and am very pleased. Our remote
clients are mostly W2K servers, Exchange with a little SQL and Oracle but we
will likely be performing cold backups. There will be no UNIX or Linux
backups at our remote sites, only NT or W2K.

Any info appreciated but tell me this is a good move.

Thanks in advance
David
