Hello.

I have a home LAN backup system, running on Bacula since the very
beginning of Bacula.

I have never used Migration/Copy or Archive type jobs, but now planning
to go that route.

My backup machines is an old Pentium 4 powered HP Compaq with 3 GB RAM
and 2 x 800 GB Sata disks in RAID 1 setup. That can currently support
only 1 Full and then diffs and incrementals for a month. I would like to
keep older data also, as there has been occasions when some system dies
and I have not had time to replace it in a month, so there has been NO a
single backup to restore from!

Currently using CentOS 6 in it, and Bacula 5.2.13. Planning on using
Copy jobs, so that the Copy Pool will reside in a second machine, a
Raspberry Pi 2 with an 4 TB USB disk.

Some ponderings.

1) Why not a Copy, but rather Migrate? Would there be any advantages in
that, if the saved disk space is not one?
2) Would it be better to use a separate Storage daemon on the Raspi,
instead of just a nfs share? Advantages for the alternatives? It appears
that the bacula-fd version on Raspian is 5.2.6.

That for starters. Any opinions and suggestions on the matter?
