As Simone said:

Bacula uses standard interfaces, so as long as a tape drive and library 
don't pull any funky stunts with the way it's presented it will work fine.

ie:

If these work, Bacula will be fine:

Tapedrives: "mt -f /dev/nst0 status" and "tar cvf /dev/nst0 blah"

Libraries: "mtx -f /dev/changer status"

The actual /dev/ names may vary but those are what most current linux 
distros will bring up.
