Hello,

you don't need a few of those steps. Upgrade Bacula (or Fedora to version 21) as is from packages, and run the upgrade script for the database.

No other change is necessary; your old configuration files will keep on working.

I am planning to upgrade bacula from 5.2.13 to 7.0.5. I will back-up the current
catalogue, remove 5.2.13, install 7.0.5, copy the conf files from 5.2.13 to
7.0.5, restore the catalogue and start bacula again.

Is that feasible?

I also have to back-up a Windows 7 system. Which version will work on that
system? Right now I am using version 5.2.10 on Windows.

My host and the other clients are all Linux Fedora 21.
