Maybe http://bugs.bacula.org/view.php?id=1601 which causes the wrong retention
time to be applied?

OTOH, I'm not sure if you think "A job prunes only itself" is correct or
incorrect behaviour or whether you think this is happening in the above output
or not.

Correct (the fix is in 5.2.6 at least).
