We are using now Bacula on Linux servers for years with great success.

On Windows clients we start Bat via Putty and XMing.

Now I found on SourceForge there is a "Bat" for Windows available -
unfortunately a little bit outdated.

Is it save to use a Bat version 5.2.10 on the Windows side with Bacula
version 5.2.12 or 5.2.13 on the Linux server side?

Yes. I have done this for almost a year now with bacula 5.2.12 servers.

Bat seems to stuck on issuing more than one command after another -
e.g."list volumes" and "list jobs".

I have seen it get stuck on list volumes. I do not list jobs since I know that I have completed > 30 thousand jobs it will take a very long time even though a large % of these will be purged..
