I did this but VirtualFull backups are not compressed, only incremental backups are. The size of backup is the same as when compression was deactivated, volumes (files) on storage daemon are in cleartext and line 'Software Compression' is completely missing in e-mail notifications. Problem is related *only* to VirtualFull. Any hints?

This means that your first Full Backup wasn't compressed. Enable compression for the first Full backup, not only for the next Incremental. Virtual Full backups do not change a contents of the archived files. If your first full and next incremental backups will be compressed, then VF will be also.

best regards
