Is this a disk volume? Remember the retention period does not start until the
volume is marked as Used or Full. For disk volumes that means you need to
specify some restriction on volume usage or size otherwise the volume will grow
till it exhausts your storage. At that point it will mark your volume full and
want to wait 3 months after that to reuse the volume.
John
John,
I am using LTO-5 tapes (2TB). It takes a long time for that tape to get FULL.
So the tape on which the jobid in question exists, should get FULL and only
then the retention period set in the config file comes in to picture right?
Is there a way to force the job to expire every 3 months even if the tape is
not FULL and is still in the APPEND mode?
Thank you.
Uthra
