Hi Folks,
We are running Bacula Director version 5.0.3 and our clients running the same (client) version, and we see the following errors when backing up many of our clients:
Error: bsock.c:537 Read error from client:118.124.23.52:36643: ERR=Connection reset by peer andy.example.org-fd Error: bsock.c:393 Write error sending 65536 bytes to Storage daemon:lilith.example.org:9103: ERR=Broken pipe Fatal error: backup.c:1024 Network send error to SD. ERR=Broken pipe lilith.example.org-sd Fatal error: append.c:223 Network error reading from FD. ERR=Connection reset by peer Job write elapsed time = 01:36:00, Transfer rate = 9.130 M Bytes/second
Would upgrading our Director version to 5.2.6 help at all?
What other troubleshooting techniques would Bacula experts recommend?
Initially we thought this was network related, but thorough network tests show no issues. We have noticed these errors on clients with 1) lots of data and 2) more than one volume to back up, but other than that, we are perplexed. We have seen the same error when the client has been physically moved to the same switch as the server, and seen the same issues. We are stumped.
Any suggestions or ideas MUCH appreciated.
Thanks, Doug |
