Hello,

A recent experiment produced an outcome
that seems at odds with the documentation
on the "portable" keyword as described at

http://bacula.org/5.2.x-manuals/en/main/main/Configuring_Director.html#9197

The documentation states that the default
is "portable=no" and implies that Windows
files restored to *nix system will be
unusable (perhaps because NTFS attribute
streams could be included in the file data).

However after restoring a few Windows files
on a Linux system, I observed that the
content of the files appears to exactly
match the originals. No "portable" keyword
appears anywhere in the FileSet specifications.

Can anyone shed some light on what specific
meaning of "portable" is and what would be
broken about Windows data restored on a
*nix system (other than missing NTFS
file attributes) when portable=no is
in effect?

Running version 5.2.3.

Thanks
