Are multiple jobs starting at the same time and writing to the same
pool? If so, then both jobs are selecting the same volume because it is
indeed the next available volume. However, because there are multiple
devices, the two jobs likely get assigned to different devices. The same
volume cannot be mounted on two different devices, therefore one job
gets the volume mounted on its assigned device and the other job gets
the warnings and eventually marks the volume in error because it thinks
it cannot be mounted.
