Just, monthly full, weekly differential and daily incremental .. but any
random choice would depend on:

* Whats the level of "granularity" you want on your backups?
 - E.g should a file written and deleted X hours later be backed up?
* How much disk space do you have available for you backup.
 - A full backup will fill roughly the same amount as on the other end?

The level of granularity will set the frequency of all your backup runs.
If you need to have a file written and deleted 12 hours later, you need
to run backup twice a day. (at least).

Differential runs, can save disk-space on your storage system, but will
sacrifise you granularity.

Say you retention times (on the above schedule) is 2 months for full
backups, 1 month for differential and 2 week for incrementals. Then you can:
* Within the last week restore to a granularity of 1 day
* Within the last month restore to a granularity of 1 week
* Within the last 2 months restore to a granularity of 1 month.

Play around with the numbers and figure out what you need.
