Hello,
I have a solaris 10 bacula backing up on an LTO3 library at rates up to 40Mb/sec
Now I implemented a monthly manual backup on an external USB2 disk.
The disk is mounted as a zfs partition.
I prepared a specific file storage to use this partition.
Then I prepared specific jobs and a specific pool to use this storage, containing just
one volume. I will purge it manually everytime I need to run this kind of backup.
When I run the backup on this storage, though, speed slow down to a maximum of 800-900k/sec.
How can I investigate the reason?
I see on /var/adm/messages that the system is has seen the disk as an USB2 full speed.
Maybe I should not use zfs as a storage area?

Thanx for any help
Gabriele.
