Hi John,
Thanks for your valuable advice, as usual.
The errors went when i created the /var/lib/bacula/ file.
But why this file is created, should it not be present in the database.
Regards,
Prashant

Hi All,
I have the following in my mail messages, anyway I can eliminate these
errors.
Or can i erase the tape altogether and reuse it?
v25-Feb 16:39 server-sd JobId 17: Volume "set 1 - 1" previously written,
moving to end of data.
25-Feb 16:39 server-sd JobId 17: Ready to append to end of Volume "set 1
- 1" at file=2.
25-Feb 16:39 server-sd JobId 17: Job write elapsed time = 00:00:01,
Transfer rate = 24.05 M bytes/second
25-Feb 16:39 backupserver-dir JobId 17: Error: Could not open
WriteBootstrap file:
/var/lib/bacula/client.bsr: ERR=No such file or directory
25-Feb 16:39 backupserver-dir JobId 17: Error: Bacula backupserver-dir
2.2.8 (26Jan08): 25-Feb-2009 16:39:26
This error has nothing to do with the tape and it will not go away by
erasing the tape.
Does the /var/lib/bacula/client.bsr file exist? How about the folder
/var/lib/bacula
Are the permissions set so that whatever user bacula-dir runs as has
access to that file. This user may be bacula and not root depending on
your distro.
