Most storage media have a limited capacity, meaning that you can only
store a limited amount of data on them. After that, trying to write more
data to it will fail with an error condition known as "End Of Media", "No
space left on device", or similar. This is commonly known as the "full"
condition. :-)

Bacula, in particular, marks a volume as "Full" if an attempt to write
more data to it fails. This covers the case where the supporting media is
actually full (such as a tape reaching its end) but may also happen if the
media is defective.
