I know I've asked this before -- perhaps I can get somewhere this time.

I have two catalogs defined, let's call them Catalog and Archive. I
originally defined Archive first and then Catalog (in physical order in
the file). The first night I went to run my regular backup schedule, it
kept telling me that all manner of volumes are missing. My assumption was
that there were some processes in Bacula that were automatically using the
first catalog in the file, no matter what was actually configured. At that
time, I just commented out the second catalog entirely as I needed to not
disturb production. I don't remember what version this was I was trying.

I've come back to this, though, after I've begun to decomission old
systems and replace them with new ones. I need to keep the catalogs for
these tapes much longer than normal and the backups are much larger than
normal. The regular catalog would become too large and cause me problems,
so I decided to revive the idea of an Archive catalog.

While this has been working somewhat better than before, I'm now at a
point where I can't seem to make a Verify CatalogToVolume work no matter
what I try. Before running the job, I do a "use" and select the proper
catalog. I then run a backup and select the proper parameters. I select a
client whose catalog is the Archive catalog (on a side note, it would be
really nice to be able to choose the catalog at the Job level or other
level than client, but I digress), and I attempt to verify. What appears
to happen no matter what is that it chooses the last run of that job that
is in the main catalog, from several months ago when I had no Archive
catalog. This is pretty consistent behavior.

I guess what I'm asking is "how can I begin to track down what is
happening?" I'm starting to think this is a bug, not a misconfiguration.
There are not that many people using multiple catalogs, but I think there
are a few (and that Kern is among them). Any suggestions for what
information I should provide to help troubleshoot?

My setup is Solaris 9 SPARC, Bacula from BlastWave packages (v2.2.8),
MySQL 5.0.
