CAPTCHA has been broken, and it's been sent out to the bot farms.  Forum
operators have to stay on top of this, and long-term, it'll be nothing but
an arms race.  Forums and listservs share a lot in their spam detectors. 
It's not enough to bar access, at least the initial posts from a new
source need to be screened.
