I have following directories in ~/.config: bacula.org, www.bacula.org, epo-dir,
and epohost-dir which all contains a file named bat.conf of older date (approx.
three weeks old). They are all identical and all contain cryptic data.  have
tried to rename them so that they would not be used by bat but that made no
difference and they were not recreated.

Based on that I assume that you can change preferencies for the running bat but
when you relaunch bat default preferencies come from hardcoded values.
