Hello list,

while writing a job to tape bacula-sd tells me:
03-Aug 13:10 company_bacula-sd JobId 186: Error: block.c:568 Write error
at 1:5811 on device "DLT-Drive-1" (/dev/nst0).
ERR=Eingabe-/Ausgabefehler. (Input-/Output Error)

Still btape test ran fine on that tape. This DLT-VS1 tape has only be
used 4 or 5 times so it shouldn't be defective I think.
How can I track the source of this error?

What confuses me even more is that bacula seems to be unable to unload
the tape as it does'nt detect the picker.
Again, testing the autochanger with btape test worked fine and bacula
ran flawlessly with the autochanger for the last months.

03-Aug 13:25 company_bacula-sd JobId 186: Error: Error writing final EOF
to tape. This Volume may not be readable.
dev.c:1681 ioctl MTWEOF error on "DLT-Drive-1" (/dev/nst0).
ERR=Eingabe-/Ausgabefehler.
03-Aug 13:25 company_bacula-sd JobId 186: End of medium on Volume
"CNV761" Bytes=1,374,815,232 Blocks=21,310 at 03-Aug-2008 13:25.
03-Aug 13:25 company_bacula-sd JobId 186: 3307 Issuing autochanger
"unload slot 1, drive 0" command.
03-Aug 13:25 company_bacula-sd JobId 186: 3995 Bad autochanger "unload
slot 1, drive 0": ERR=Child exited with code 1
Results=no Data Transfer Element reported

Can anyone help me track this? If any additional output is needed I will
post it asap.

Thanks a lot,

Nils
