Do the scheduling externally.
For example, on SUSE, create a file in /etc/cron.daily/ which contains
something like
echo 'run job=DailyBackup yes'|bconsole -c /etc/bacula/bconsole.conf
(Actually, I'd do it a bit more sophisticated, but I hope you get the
point...)
