The output is completely normal as the SD only knows about pools if 
the DIR tells it, i.e. when the DIR starts using a volume.

That the drive isn't used would be something independent of the status 
output / the SD not knowing about pools.

No idea... but don't worry about the SD not reporting pool names when 
it first accesses a volume.

Instead, try to find out why the volume / drive is not used.

The first thing to look at is what the DIR reports when you start a 
job - usually, it will complain if, for some reason, it can't select a 
volume to use.
