Lots of thanks, i was confused about function parameters and script parameters. I have set Wait_For_Drive() with 100 times of 10 seconds an i have launched the mount command to try it. These are the results:
*mount Automatically selected Catalog: MyCatalog Using Catalog "MyCatalog" The defined Storage resources are: 1: File 2: Cinta Select Storage resource (1-2): 2 Enter autochanger slot: 3 3301 Issuing autochanger "loaded? drive 0" command. 3302 Autochanger "loaded? drive 0", result: nothing loaded. 3304 Issuing autochanger "load slot 3, drive 0" command. 3992 Bad autochanger "load slot 3, drive 0": ERR=Child died from signal 15: Termination. Results=Loading media from Storage Element 3 into drive 0...done Program killed by Bacula watchdog
(timeout)
3301 Issuing autochanger "loaded? drive 0" command. 3302 Autochanger "loaded? drive 0", result is Slot 3. 3001 Mounted Volume: A0000003 3001 Device "Driver1" (/dev/nst0) is mounted with Volume "A0000003"
I don't understand why the errors messages now. I've been seeing other posts and I 've read that may be i should comment Wait_For_Drive() and use sleep X instead, but i think that my firsts problems will come again.
Thanks in advance.

You might find it more useful (at least I do) to try the check, say, 30 times and sleep for 20 seconds. Gives a maximum wait time of ten minutes, but doesn't create new processes each second.

I believe you're confusing the parameters of the script with the ones to this function alone.
In the distributed version, wait_for_drive() is called with only one parameter, and that is
the tape drive to check.
> Anyway i just to change this line to > ... > if mt -f $4 status 2>&1 | grep "${ready}" > ...
I guess this will break if you ever want to check anything else than /dev/tape (which, for *my* kernel and mt, is the default to use when not supplying a parameter). $4 will be empty in wait_for_drive...
