When you create a new volume - typically using the 'label' command - 
you assign it to one specific pool. (Unless, of course, you're using 
the scratch pool feature.)

A tape is always exactly one volume.

Each volume can belong to one pool only.

Conclusion: Just label your volumes and you get what you want.
