Hi Chris,

Ok, you could start reading the documentation om bacula.org but i get the feeling you want some fast instructions för Redhat. So I will give it a go.

Because you used mysql version, I presume you still need to create the bacula database and stuff.

Start mysql if it isn't allready

# cd /usr/libexec/bacula
# ./grant_mysql_privileges -p
# ./create_mysql_database -p
# ./make_mysql_tables -p

- your 3 important config files are under /etc/bacula/
bacula-dir.conf                (Director - the "Boss" that holds all the rules abour clients, jobs, schedule's, File Set ex.......)
bacula-sd.conf                (Storage - simple file and specifies File och Tape och Autochanger and storage medium.)
bacula-fd.conf                (Client - this file needs to be on every backup klient.)

"dir" and "sd" need to be configured and tested before you start the services for the first time.
Here are some of my tests files for "File Storage"  that work. They include one Linux client and one Windows client.  http://nordickiwi.no-ip.com/mediawiki/index.php/Backup

Test you dir file with,
# /etc/bacula/bacula-dir.conf -t
Once clear start your services.

- you start and stop your three bacula service's with
# service bacula-dir start/stop/status
# service bacula-sd start/stop/status
# service bacula-fd  start/stop/status

For day to day Admin use bconsole, then the comannd help.
# bconsole
help

Chris, that is the shortest bacula howto I've ever seen..... :)  Hope it helps you out.
