If I may be as bold, I've been running different versions of Bacula,
starting with 1.38 right through to 2.2.7, on different Red Hat Based
distro's, Starting with RH7.3 - 9 Fedora 4 - 8, RHEL 4 & 5 and CentOS 5 &
5.1 and never really had any issues, apart from PEBCAC and some missing dep
packages on Fedora 8 especially where the bconsole is concerned.

I don?t know about RPMs, I usually install in from source and for me it's
easier.

If I may, why do you want to install from RPM?

I tried once to install bacula rpms on CentOS 5. Worked fine.
However, at work, they insisted that there were some "problems" running
bacula on non-debian, and had to reinstall.

I know i'm not helping on your issue, but i'll abuse your thread to ask
: is there really "issues" with bacula and redhat based distros ?
