Hi,

I am trying to limit the total amount of bandwidth Backuppc is using during the backups.

I have added the following arguments to the list of ArsyncArgs under Xfer:

--bwlimit=6250

My goal is to limit every running job to a max of 50 Mbits (or as in the number above 6250 Kilobytes/sec). MaxBackups is set to 4. So at 4 backups running, the maximum allowed bandwidth is 200 Mbit/sec.

My question are:

- Is this configuration of –bwlimit correct, I mean under  ArsyncArgs ?

- Is this applied per backup job (so each concurrent job gets 6250 Kilobytes/sec) ? or is it apply to the whole bandwidth regardless of how many jobs are running ?

Kindly clarify.

Many Thanks
