Some options:
1) Backup less data
2) Change your backup method
3) defrag your drive
4) Optimise your data so you don't have huge number of files in a single
directory
The first one is sure to solve the issue of course :)
The second one can make more efficient use of your existing available
resources (maybe), generally this means using rsync. Of course, any
method will still ultimately have some bottleneck somewhere.
PS, I don't think I've used a drive that is limited to ~60MB/s, even a
single drive should be capable of 100MB/s or more, though of course if
there is any other IO on the same drive at the same time, then you will
massively reduce the available throughput (due to seek times).
