My server has 82% usage and 95% DfMaxUsagePct, however if I make the backup manually it works properly.

I'm not sure when backuppc notices the space - it might not restart
scheduling until the next backuppc_nightly run completes and updates
the numbers you see in the status and host summary pages.

Were the files you removed part of the backups or some other files on
the same filesystem?    Removing backups under the pc directories
normally won't release any space until the pooled links are also
removed.
