If so, can you try removing it and retesting the listing of the data on

I don't have a samba.conf file, however, I assume you mean smb.conf?

In that file the only proxy line I have is;

dns proxy = no


I changed that to yes, but still same error;

Adding the line you mentioned to the config file also didn't work, neither did 
any combination of the two (yes/yes, yes/no, no/yes, no/no).

Maybe the problem is I am missing the samba.conf folder?
