If you have managed switches, make sure the switch/host are both set
to 'auto' duplex. Check the host for a 'on-access' virus scanner.
Yes, you can change a host to rsync - just do it in the per-host 'edit
config' screens. Rsync may not be any faster, but it would let you
restart partial full runs.
