firstly, I believe it's an addition only present in the Debian/Ubuntu packages
of BackupPC (and as far as I've heard, it *does* create the NFS problems
described).
Secondly, you *compiled* the Perl sources of BackupPC? You mentioned that
before, so at some point I have to ask for more details :). How exactly?
