Hello again,
i found out that the logfile was in iso-format. After converting the LOG-file to utf8 the special characters show up correctly in the webinterface.
The file format of a backuped file is “data”.
It seems to me the file gets encoded/converted in the webinterface view.
I hope that helps.

Betreff: german umlauts wrong
Hello,
when using the webinterface either to browse backups or logfiles german umlauts like “ä” “ö” “ü” show up as .
The static stuff (like descriptions) show those special character correctly.
Restoring/downloading a file with in the filename works though.
The file was backuped from the backuppc server onto the backuppc server.
The file is has utf8 encoding (UTF-8 Unicode text)
The http response header says:
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Date: Sun, 24 Oct 2010 00:30:15 GMT
Server: Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS)
Connection: close
Transfer-Encoding: chunked
Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8
I am really stuck on this problem and cant find any solution for it.
It would be very helpful if somebody got a tip or solution.
Michael
