Thanks, I tried that too but I think it works if it is only a proper 
filesystem.

Actually, the following host.pl did the job for me. I had to add an 
"--include" parameter to rsync.

$Conf{RsyncShareName} = [
   '/home/remi'
];
$Conf{BackupFilesExclude} = {
   '/home/remi' => [
     '.*'
   ]
};
$Conf{BackupFilesOnly} = {};
$Conf{RsyncArgs} = [
   '--numeric-ids',
   '--perms',
   '--owner',
   '--group',
   '-D',
   '--links',
   '--hard-links',
   '--times',
   '--block-size=2048',
   '--recursive',
   '--include .thunderbird'
];
