Hi folks,

I've just got some time again to try and finally sort out the 'error -4' 
messages which fill my log files :-(

- I'm running BackupPC on CentOS 5.4

- Installation was done following Max' guide 
(http://www.maxsworld.org/index.php/how-tos/backuppc-on-centos)

- TopDir was set during installation.

- pool and cpool directories are both owned by user backuppc (with drwxr rights)


The weird thing I've found through experimentation is that the user backuppc 
can't seem to create hard links. Root can - backuppc can't. I guess this would 
account for the error -4 messages. Can anyone suggest why the backuppc user 
can't create links even when it 'owns' all the directories in question?
