[BackupPC-users] Client with dynamic IP, backups cut off at 24h
2009-09-14 12:43:40
My backuppc server is running on a dedicated server with a static IP, my client
is using a dynamic IP, which is reset every 24h. When doing backups that take
longer than 24h, the backups fail and soon start over from scratch. I have
noticed this happening for 5 days when somehow backuppc managed to overcome
this 24h problem by itself and was able to resume failed backups all of a
sudden. Is this just coincidence, or why do I see these two different
behaviors? Anything I can do to tweak backuppc to always resume incomplete
backups?
