Are the directory /var/lib/backuppc/ and all sub directories owned by
backuppc?
Do you have sufficient free disk space?
If you login as user backuppc (on your server), do you can create a
directory /var/lib/backuppc/pc/snoopy/new2 (and delete it afterwards ;-)
