I had already change the max number of pending links to 30 and even though I only have about 25 pending links, backups still will take a long time to start.
Right now, BackupPC_Nightly actually won't stop running because some hosts that I'm backing up are quite big.
And yes, I actually just changed the amount of days for BackupPC_Nightly to run to take 16 days (since I have alot of disk space and don't mind BackupPC_Nightly taking this long to clean). I hope that this will decrease the amount ot time that BackupPC_Nightly runs for.
Still, backups never took this long to start and now it is taking very long.

can't run at the same time. If you have a number of BackupPC_link
processes waiting to run (configurable via the "MaxPendingCmds"
option), no more backups will start.
How long does your BackupPC_nightly take to run? Perhaps you would be
better off setting "BackupPCNightlyPeriod" > 1.
